when it apened to me , i did have a overboost code but , at 5 psi !! max 8 psi , i was not feeling 14 psi but 5 , damn

I had similar happen to me from a fuel pump getting weak. It would accelerate okay until it just could not keep up with the demand, then would cut out just like overboost.

I second the checking connections on the ignition coil. On hard takeoffs the engine moves like 10 friggin' feet and can sometime pinch wiring enough to short out circuitry.

Thanks to all of you who gave me ideas on what it could be. I found out that the rod that opens the wastegate was unhooked and i hooked it up and it fixed my problem.
