First off the car is an 86 omni with an 87 turbo 2 40s 3" exhaust ported everything, with 3 bar. OK well I just got my new custom cal, installed it took it for a test drive and it won't build boost. They cal shouldn't even have overboost. The car drives fine until the turbo starts to build boost, then it goes into that limp mode thing where it shuts the injectors off until you let off the gas. it drives normal in vac, but as soon as the boost gauge goes to 0 it shuts down. The weird thing is my FWD cal does it also. Car runs good with my 2 bar cal, so I can only think something is wrong with the Map sensor, but its brand new MSD. The only codes it throws are 35,36,37, and 45 all are normal exept 45 overboost. Has any else had this problem? Any suggestions?

Could still be a faulty MAP sensor. Most everyone on here will tell you, just because you put in a new <insert: MAP, HEP, O2, etc.> doesn't mean it's working. And they'll pretty much also tell you to only use Mopar MAPs. But that aside, do a voltage test on the MAP. See if you're getting proper readings or not.

Why is a 37 - Baro read solenoid code normal? Your custom cal still uses it doesn't it? And if your cal doesn't have overboost cutout then I wouldn't think it'd be throwing the 45, unless you're referring to the FWD cal. I wonder if the MAP is giving a reading to the computer that is within normal signal range but is indicating boost when there isn't any (as in it is only giving the upper range of signal)? Is the car running rich?

37 is normal because I can't get it to work. I replace the solenoid with one that works and it didn't work, rewired it to the LM and it still didn't work. I told the programer to take overboost off but maybe he just put it at like 30 psi or something. But the FWD cal threw the same 45 at 0psi. I also took the wastegate solenoid out and the fan is hard wired to a switch, thats why I have the other codes.

Well I had just about the same problem in my 89 Daytona and it ended up being a vaccum problem. Check all hoses, check the wastegate solenoid and try switching the hoses on it.(The guy I bought mine from switched the damn hoses). If that doesnt work I know after sitting sometimes the solenoids go back on those. Let me know if this fixed it.

I wonder if this is the issue. Put the solenoid back in and just connect it electrically.

Possibly its still programmed into the cal and its not getting a signal, but that parts just a guess. I'm still getting better at this stuff! lol, but if I remember right i've seen people run without it.
