i have an 88 dodge shadow 2.2 i just finished building a whole new motor for it and it runs great but still has the hacked exhaust that came with the car.. im going to make a new exhaust system but i have some questions.. to get better flow, i would like to run a performance muffler but i dont want the car to be loud (there's no cat) it has a nice tone now with the stock muffler and its not too loud. would it be quieter with 2 performance muffler vs. just one? (make a Y pipe with 2 mufflers in the rear) any suggestions on brands? and lastly.. would 3" turbo back be too big? would 2 1/2" be better?

and for BOV i have a turboxs RFL on thre now but i really love the sound of some cars when they blow off its more of a flutter sound than a straight burst of air.. is there a way to get it to sound like that? or do i have to get a diff BOV?

any input is appreciated, thanks

To answer your first question, 3" would be better than 2.5". Remember, turbo cars hate back pressure.

As for your BOV question, you will have to get a new one. I have an HKS Super-Sequential BOV, and it makes the noise you're talking about. I love that thing. It's definitely my favorite mod.

You'll have to get two different brand mufflers.
