Ok. Today I bought a 2.5L engine for my 85 shelby charger because it only had 22000 original miles on it and ran perfect.

From what ive read you have to use a glhs computer and wire up the ais motor and then use +20's to make up for the 17% larger fuel curve. Is this correct?

Also do I have to intercool the engine for it to run properly? I only say this because myy dad doesnt want me to have the extra horses in such a light car.

Also will the 525 hold up with the 2.5 and does it bolt up directly?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

doubt the 525 will last too long, but with low hp it should. The calibration you will need for it to run right and the correct wiring because the charger was a TI and wont have all the correct hook ups. you can run non-intercooled with low boost, as a lot of 2.5s came non-intercooled
