Just installed the FWD Stage 3 computer and a blaster 2 coil. Started ran for a minute then stalled. Figured well been sitting for 2 weeks. Started again and began hearing a like loud whirling noise witha electronic sound to go with it from the throttle body where the air cleaner connects to the throttle body. Disassembled the tube between the two of these and put back toghether. Started it and the same thing again with the noise. reved it a few times and the noise would be more constant with the higher rpm's. Went through connections in various places started it again and nothing won't even turn over. On one attempt I heard that noise with out the engine turning over. Now the mesqito's are biting the hell out of me and I am getting pretty irritated. Any thoughts from any of you. I would so much appreciate it!!!!!!! 1987 2.2 Turbo 2 I hear a clicking noise when it is in the starting position. I also put the old computer back in and same thing. In the running position on the ignition key I took a wire to the positive side of the coil and tried to get a spark out of it when the other end was grounded and no spark, even in the starthing position. I'm starting to wonder if my starter went or the selinoid??? Turned the motor over some, and tried starting it in all shift positions. Got a click in park and neutral. Nothing in the other gears.

Check for 12 volts at the large battery cable at the starter and with the key in the start position 12 volts at the smaller solenoid wire. If voltage is present at both the problem is in the starter or solenoid.
