It should be at 7psi, with a 9psi "overboost" period for 10 seconds. You aren't intercooled are you? 12psi is probably the most I would go non intercooled.

lol i read that last night and its $43 and i also read that i think puter has set it and there no way to set the boost. i was just trying to see what someone would say before i make the purchase. i also read that it would be good to get a air fuel or something to help protect the turbo or something and its $64 thanks rob you the man.

In my setup I have an 89 2.5 T1 in my 84 L body also have the 33 injectors which are good to 15 ish psi, walbro fp w/ T2 IC and rad, turbosmart boost controller untill my D-Cal come in.. I boost up to 14 psi as of now.. If you want to go above and beyond that level you may need a different computer and have it D-Cal'd.. Dawes device has some other options but I don't like the Map bleeds myself... Yes you NEED a air fuel gauge and the you should also get a after market boost gauge,, they are are alot better than the stock.. bottom line is more boost will require you to do some minor changes, but if you look around you find the benefits are there..Just go from 7 to 12-14 psi and you will have a smile cheek to cheek for weeks, but then you'll want more.. Boost is addictive
