HA I have over 2,000 posts and I rearrange basically the same words over and over. Every once in a while you'll find words not used often on the forum, even simple words I completely screw up if there ones I don't use over and over. My english skills are a copy machine / cut and past type thing believe me I couldn't pass basic english in College because I couldn't get past a section in the book. Prepositional phrase. People that couldn't speak any english passed the class. But I did win a nation award in engineering, the J.E.T.S. test. I was the engineering rep and did the 18th question in 1988.

Would other harnesses work also, like a lebaron turbo (1989) harness?

I found a performance computer, not sure if its stage 3 or not. Its originally from mopar with part # R4532132. Said it came out of a 1989 dodge daytona. If you look at it, its got a large connector at the top-middle of the unit and a smaller one to the bottom left of the larger one. What do you think?

I think it is a stock SMEC computer and a reman makes it worse lol. Send it to FWDperformance and get a new one. It is always a good idea to get the for the car and buy a computer for the mods.

they all work with enough cutting and wire moving, the Shadow one just fits best.

If it has 2 plug connectors, it's a SMEC. Those were '88 and '89 computers. Your car currently has an SBEC ('90-'91). But since you're swapping the wiring harness, it doesn't matter what computer system you have as long as it matches the harness. Personally, I like the '89 SMEC best. The SBEC supposedly has some improvements, but I'm just partial to the '89 stuff. There are more stock computer options available to you for '89 (but you can always get a calibration from FWD or TU so that isn't really the best selling point). Anyways, if you use the '89 LeBaron harness then that '89 computer would work, but you should definately find out what engine it came from. There have been numerous posts about computer part numbers around the forum. You should be able to do a search and compare your part number to figure it out. The biggest difference between your car and the '89 LeBaron harness will be in the lighting systems and I believe the power accessories (wipers etc.) Someone more experienced in L-bodies can chime in on what all is different.

I know way at the beginning of this thread, someone mentioned that a 89 turbo minivan wireharness would work good, and i found a 87 daytona wire harness 2.2 turbo as well as an 89 minivan one. Would either of these work just as long as if i got a computer to match it?

The '89 would be easier because it has only one computer.
