in fact the rings are the problem. It seems all the rings where seized on the pistons. The pistons look perfect, i measures the pistons to bore size and it appears they are a bit tight ( so I think ) 3.472 on the skirt 3.4735 on the cylinder's. there is no crosshatch left in the cylinders.
any advice would be appreciated. I am new to the turbo dodge's
Wow..
My only advice would be:

when you have it rebuilt, don't go to the builder that the first guy went to...

I sold the car, fortunately. I'm told from the new owner that the pain keeps coming. Apparently, the guy I bought the engine from had not had the machining (bore) done properly, or he bought oversized rings. Either way, there was too little clearance and the rings melted to the pistons. The guy had the engine all redone again and after 40 minutes of driving, cylinder one went out on him. So, last I heard, he pulled the engine again and is going to start over. I feel bad for him and feel his pain, considering what I went through. I recommended to him that he just let it die. It seems clear to me that the car doesn't want to live anymore, but he hasn't yet been jaded on it yet like I got. If he does get it running though, I'd love to go for a ride in it. : ) I told my mechanic about it and he was recommending that the computer and fpr be changed out for his next rebuild, as a precaution to possible computer issues that could relate?? I don't know myself though, I only change the oil in my cars. : ) Related to this, I've walked away from turbo dodge's and bought a trailblazer ss. I say I'm done with turbo dodge's, but can't help to check them out on Craigslist now and then. Who knows, maybe you'll all see me again here sometime??

No. This is the previous owner. The new owner is a nice guy. His name is Nick.
