I'm halfway through replacing my old AC/alternator bracket with the non-AC kind, (I've got the one off, and it's time to clean the place up...)
Not having done this before, I encountered a couple delightful little surprises along the way. Such as: when I took out the bottom bolt on the passenger side of the block, coolant started pouring out.
I'm guessing that this is normal (gulp!) because when I took the bolt inside to clean it up I found a blob of goopy sealant stuff a cm in from the thread end.
I cleaned all the old stuff off, but it's time to put new stuff on-- before I go to Autozone, what exactly is this stuff called? In this case, I'd like to get the exactly exact right stuff; seems like an important location. Thanks.
