i have a 88 daytona shelby z (had it since new) and it is still in cherry shape- all original, 75,000 miles
(really 140,000 but magically it only said 75000)-  
I parked it 4 years ago because the turbo started smoking (like I could skywrite)-it got a new turbo and wastegate from turbonetics and is running good again-but I want more boost (i am getting about 6 lbs, if I bleed it i get about 10)-
also I am trying to fix the little stuff and came across the TSB about oil getting into the air box-i wasted money on the new nipple (it was the same as what was in the valve cover) and when i tried to install it, i also bought a new one-piece valve cover gasket-you guessed it, I cranked it down to the point I thought it should be flush with the head, it broke the corner of the valve cover behind the oil fill, toward the firewall-i spent a lot of time using a 2 part epoxy to put it back together, and it does not leak (new gasket too, just didn't get crazy torquing it this time)-I want to find a decent valve cover ('chrysler Turbo' 2.2, 1988) and I want to get more boost (I used to get about 12 with the original turbo, and I remember having a fish-tank bleed valve that got me to 14, sometimes 'overboosting' (got a dead miss, a warning not to get too crazy)-I'd like to get it back to close to that, and replace my repaired/booged valve cover-any ideas appreciated.

To completely cure your oil in air box problem, you'd want to read this thread.
Oil free airbox, PCV system works like it should. No OIL catch can used. *PICS*
I have a TBI cast valve cover for sale, 1 piece gasket design. PM me if you're interested.
Your 88 valve cover does not use 1 piece gasket, that's why your valve cover broke.

If you want to use a one piece gasket (which most guys do) you'll need a 89 or newer turbo valve cover. The earlier ones use the 4 piece gaskets which are a pain and don't work as well.

Still looking for a valve cover and think that I really just need either a 89 and up turbo cover that takes a one-piece gasket or a cast 87-88 valve cover that takes a 4 piece gasket-
by the way, I did go to the Dodge dealer who gave me the one piece and they showed me that my car takes a one piece-but it HAD the 2 end pieces plus the bead on the long runs when I took it off. Because I though I had to have the cover sit down on the head, I (tried) to evenly crank it down so that it sat on the metal of the head, and I broke off a corner of the valve cover-I glued it back together with JB weld (it is amazing stuff, I have fixed busted stuff with it that I thought could not be fixed), but I do not trust the repaired valve cover with what is probably not the correct gasket. It doesn't leak, but I'd hate to find out miles from home it is not the way to fix it-it is not leaking, but I do not want to take a chance on a repaired valve cover that probably has the wrong gasket-I even told the dealer to get me the two ends and am for now going to take the one piece off, check my repaired valve cover, and reinstall it so it is closer to what it should be-
anyone out there have a 89 and up turbo valve cover that takes a one piece? Or a 87-88 turbo (cast) valve cover that takes a 4-piece? I also want to just go to a cone filter, so what do I do with the small hose that goes to the airbox from the turbo?
Do I have to provide any cooling for the smec?
Since I am going to replace the plumbing for the intercooler to throttle body, does anyone have a BOV setup for sale?
I am open to all suggestions/ ideas, and have PM'ed all who have valve covers for sale-I'd like to have a cover like what is on there ('chrysler TURBO', cast, 2.2) but will consider all others especially with pics-I am reasonably sure I am going to just run the large hose that now goes to the airbox from the valve cover (the one that oils the airbox/intake hoses/intercooler) and just run it to the ground, with some steel wool shoved into the end of it-since I want to do a cold air intake, I won't miss cleaning out the oil from the airbox.

oh, just a day late or so, I have a factory intercooled 89+ VC (wrinkle black). I think it came from a 90 VNT. Oh well.
