i did have an opporitunity to buy a junkyard a couple years ago- the guy retired, had 20 acres, plus cars and a 40,000 square foot building and a lot of parts on shelves inventoried etc. but he was a douche, trying to sell it for 4 times what it was worth so he ended up scrapping most stuff and now the epa classified his land as contaminated so he cant even sell it. if he hadnt smashed 2 windows out of my car when i tried to get 300 bucks that he owed me i prolly would have tried to buy the whole thing. his loss. now him and his wife get to stare at the eyesore for the rest of their lives (their house is right next to it)
ive seen land not far from me for as low as 400 an acre. close enough to a major highway that it would be a 5 minute drive from the interstate. id like to get about 40 total, 20 for late model stuff that people have a healthy demand for the parts like 98 and up, a 10 acre pull your own and 2, 5 acre sections one for pre 74 and one for TD era cars. the TD section would be off limits to everyone unless you can prove you own one.
