Greetings!
First off, I should apologize for this post. I know stuff like this should probably be common knowledge. The problem is that I am a total newb and I'm currently in the process of learning about my turbo dodge engine. I have been reading my Haynes repair manual to try and figure out the problem, but the information isn't very helpful for post 1986 cars.
I have a 1987 Daytona Pacifica that is generally in great shape mechanically. Unfortunately, the vaccum hoses absolutely refuse to stay connected, making the turbo pretty much useless and my fuel economy runs at about 6MPG (the joys of SUV gas mileage in an economy car package

.).
The hose assembly doesn't want to stay connected pretty much anywhere. This drives me nuts. The worst offender is the little bit where several tiny hoes all connect to a plastic piece that funnels them into one larger hose. While attempting to better connect the small hoses to the plastic bit, I broke it.
Because my Haynes guide won't help me ID the parts, I was hoping you fiine folks here at TurboDodge.com could help me out. I need to order replacement parts but I don't even know what the proper names of the pieces are. It's pretty difficult to order something when you don't know what it's called.
Here is a picture of the offending stuff:
And here's highlighting what I'm talking about
:
The circled bits on the left are the tiny hoses. The circled bit on the right is the broken piece where they're supposed to connect. I don't know what these parts are called.
Even before I broke the plastic connector, none of this stuff stayed together well at all. As you can see in the picture, even the bigger rubber hose further on isn't connected (it keeps blowing off, despite my adding a clamp ring to it). Is there any trick to getting this stuff to stay together? Are there better hose assemblies that I could buy that would solve this problem?
I'm in serious need of help. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
