IMO cast is better than hyper. I believe that hyper are weaker. Check out this site for more info on them...

Donovan's Dodge Garage

... on second thought, read over everything on there. Some of it is kinda out dated, but you'll get the idea.

fwdperfromance sells singles, and they are mahles- same thing you got in there. id consider getting a new set of rings while you're at it, break the glaze on all 4 cylinders and pop the pistons in with a new set of rings. otherwise you'll have uneven compression. wont really hurt it to just do one piston and ring, but if they previous owner was runing high boost and it led to a cracked piston, the rings might not be in too good of shape to begin with. its just as easy to do a re-ring on all 4 cylinders as it is on 1

I would do a "poor man's" rering on it (ie no bore, just rough up the cylinders and use a ridge ream). The parts are cheap (probably sets you back less than $100) and you can get a ridge ream, hone, and spring compressor from auto zone (waffle fries anyone?) fo' free.

I've done this on both my 1996 Honda Accord and 89 CRX and it works great!
