All right here is the deal my 85 lebaron gts was running great until the starter went out so i replaced the starter. After replacing the starter I have acquired some new problems. The car is hard to start and "chugs" at first then the computer kicks in and the idle rises to just above 1k rpm and it settles down and idles fine so I get in it and drive it and now I cant go any faster than about thirty mph or quarter throttle without the car dogging down and acting like it is under a load. Now would I be wrong in thinking this is due to a bad fuel pump? I haven't put a fuel pressure gauge on the car but when I press in the schrader valve on the rail ,gas is there but it just kinda bubbles out, not sprays out like I am used to seeing on a fuel injected car.The fuel pump was changed two years ago but the tank sat empty after six months of use on the pump and was ran below quarter tank a whole bunch due to a bad sending unit gasket [tank leaks fuel past half tank] I am also considering a clogged fuel filter.I do know for sure that my turbo is still spooling up so i dont think it is the problem.gimme an idea if I am on the right track or do i need to send this thing to its death?

It sounds like a fuel filter to me. Mostly because the car sat for so long. An easy repair.

I'd replace the fuel filter and sending unit gasket that you said is leaking.
While you have the lines off in the rear, disconnect both the feed and return fuel lines in the front as well as the rear and blow any crap out of them with a
air compressor. Also check the ground strap from the fuel injecter harness to the firewall.

ok it sounds like yall agree with me on it being a fuel issue so I will persevere a while longer and replace the filter and the pump since I have to fix the tank leak anyway . Also kind of off topic anyone ever heard if two of the garret t3 turbos would work on a 318? I have a kind of sick and twisted idea and wanted to find out before I go further
