For the turbo engine, the max boost is 7 psi, is it not, with 9-10 psi overboost?

On the stock GLH Turbo engine, the max boost under normal throttle is approx. 7 psi. Under wide open throttle it allows up to 9-10 psi overboost for approx. 10 seconds, thereafter it's limited at 7psi. Assuming your turbo engine and ECU are all stock, I would imagine these numbers would be accurate.

oh ok, i read about this but didn't know it was referred to as overboost. appeared kinda strange to me that some number could be higher than "max boost" one more question, the i'll shut up again and let ya guys solve that problem: which years/ecms ran this WOT-overboost?

Well I do know that all stock Turbo-I engines have this overboost to 10 psi, Turbo-II engines likewise, but perhaps alittle bit higher. Turbo-III and IV engines i'm not quite familiar with, I've never owned one nor researched them much, but I do believe they also allow brief overboost during WOT, at least the IV engine did.
