I saw on here somewhere about a motormount for the left side (firewall side) motormount that was like a shock absorber, but was adjustable for stiffness-I noticed when I had one front wheel up the other day, car in gear, when I turned the wheel, the engine moved fairly easily, so much so that I think the front and rear (meaning the firewall and radiator mounts) need to be replaced. Anyone have a good source for these mounts?

if your talking about the aditional strut mounts that are on convertables then you will have to go to the dealer.

And for replacment stock mounts any autoparts store, but they are not that great.
Best bet either mopar dealer or go aftermarket with fwdperformace.com or polybushings.com.

^ LOL on my hooker header equipped, carb'd 83.5 SC thats what I had to do to keep the header from bangin the shifter, and cracking primary tube #1

back 2 motor mounts: if you cant afford the SWEET polybushings.com MMs, the 'old school' trick is to buy a 16$ chain store mount and fill the voids in the mount with "liquid nails" construction adhesive ; stiffens it right up (still not as nice as the pply mounts of course)

(wait at least 2 days to let it cure before firing up engine and torque-ing, otherwise the goo wont all be cured and will squeeze out, DAMHIK)

I ended up installing the poly mounts (got them from Cindy, they were not cheap though, $60 each for the firewall bobble-strut replacement (PITA to install) and the one by the radiator, $120 something total plus shipping-I then later got the passenger side mount (OEM) so I had to undo the others to install it, it is better I guess, still a clunk when it right front goes up before the left front (and it sounds like the clunk comes from the left front) so I am going to remove the strut and install a new strut bearing next. The solid poly mounts are nice, car feels smoother, engine does not 'rock' at all now, I cannot imagine the engine could be more immobile with chains, these mounts are virtually solid.

the ploy's are cheaper in the long run, replacing those Anchor one's can add up, the poly's will most likely out live our cars.

Window weld works nicely too. We have poly inserts on the Talon and they work nicely though.
