92 shadow - ignition key won’t turn back.

I have a 92 dodge shadow and for a while now I’ve had to push the auto gear shifter very hard forward into park to get the key to turn back far enough to get it out.

Now, no matter how hard I push I can’t get the key to turn back far enough to get it out.

What do I need to adjust to fix it? Is there an adjuster at the shifter or under the dash or in the column? Or do I adjust the trans shifter cable at the trans?

Update...

I fixed it. The problem was the white plastic part on the steering column that the cable goes into that engages the ignition switch was sticking. It had a little bump on the plastic part where it slides on it's camming surface (factory defect). I smoothed it out with a razor blade and re-greased it. Works great now.

For years now it's been a pain sometimes, having had to slam it into park to get the key out...now I know why.
