its gotta be your timing or a bad vacuum line going to your MAP sensor.
check your crank/cam/distributer timing, then be sure that your ignition timing is at 12* wile the coolent temp sensor is unplugged.

+1 on the clogged cat. Here's a freaky one that happened to me on a Horizon. It wouldn't idle right, figured out that it had the original timing belt and had jumped time so I adjusted the distributor and got the ignition timing better. After that it wouldn't rev past about 3200. I pulled the valve cover and found that an exhaust rocker had popped its pad and was sitting sideways under the cam. The exhaust valve wasn't opening completely so it was restricting the engine speed. Probably a once-in-a-lifetime freak thing.

Obviously, cause it's running like a dog.

MAP vac line leaking / baro solenoid leaking... MAP off calibration... TPS off calibration / dead spot... HEP mis-triggering / trigger plate loose in the distributor... T/Belt off a tooth... Secondary ignition issues, coil, wires, etc... fuel pressure / supply.

As was asked above, CODES? A little more info to work with here? Many of the usual suspects will set codes if a hard fault, but not necessarily on a sensor operating a little off cal.
