If you have a sealant issue with the Cometic(I have) spray both sides with that copper spray in a can stuff, works great. Let the stuff have time to dry after you get it all together though

You shouldnt have to retorque the headbolts, use ARPs torque specs(not our factory ones) ARP IIRC is like 75-85(double check that, been awhile for me). ARP bolts/studs dont stretch as easily as Mopar/FelPro/etc. Allow the engine to idle to operation temps(waste gas, let it sit in the drive, go get a drink, snack, then look at your temp gauge).

Yes, I've written about this condition in the past. Either the head has been shaved one time too many, or one or both of the alignment dowel haven't been seated correctly, and is cocked a little sideways. We have seen this a few times. Seems the dowel sometimes pulls up with the head during removal, and gets cocked with the head being placed back on. A light rap with the 16 oz on each dowel has become a regular part of the process. A quick read with a caliper for height off the deck and the depth of the hole in the head will pretty much tell the tale here.
