Hey,
I just bought a 1989 dodge daytona shelby 2.2 liter turbo last month and today i noticed that there is a hissing, whistling sound comming from my air cleaner. the car runs great but that sound is scaring me because it sounds like something is going to blow. The person before me installed this guage onto the air cleaner and i noticed that it cracked. If anybody could help me that would be appreciated. Im thinking it is a leak from a hose or something.

yur prolly right - a vacuum leak..

very common for the plastic and rubber vacuum lines and other underhood components like heater hoses to become brittle and degraded after 20+ year of heat, ozone, UV, etc

you kinda have two choices -
1. find & fix this leak, and become practiced at this since there likely willl be more
2. set aside couple hours and thoroughly inspect your underhood, replacing all questionable vacuum lines and other "wear" components like drive belts, plug wires too

Depending on where it is at or how large it may become you may run into some stalling issues, high idle issues or a check engine light or it may stay the same.
