My car is still running pretty crappy when there is no load on the engine and am just trying to maintain a constant speed. I think it is because it is running super rich. When I push the clutch in, the rpms will drop real low(sometimes stalling), and it takes a second or two to find idle. It mainky does it when I am at lower speeds...

list of other symtoms...

-jerks when trying to maintain lower speeds, not bad above 45 or so, but I can still tell it is there

-It doesnt seem to have any problems when I am accelerating

-Sometimes when I get off the interstate after running it above 80 or so, it seems to run perfectly for the next couple of miles, it goes straight to idle when I push in the clutch and accelration and cruise is smooth, then it comes back....like the interstate speeds cleared it out and then it gets flooded again once I start driving at lower RPM's.....

Could the AIM on the throttle body be the culprit? I know when I was messing with it, the idle would jump up to like 1300-1500 rpm for a few seconds and then it drop back down to 900 and it would do it again once I started messing with the AIM wires again.....

Are there any fault codes? Any black smoke? Backfire?
AIS will not create problems when you are off idle, only at idle and decel.
There are a lot of possibilities and each will have to be tested individually if you do not have a scanner.
Also be sure all basics are correct if there are no fault codes set, cam timing, ignition timing, vacuum line routing and condition, secondary ignition(cap, rotor, plugs, wires, coil) fuel pressure.

No fault codes, I took it to the dodge dealership and they looked at it for 10 hrs and couldnt figure out what was wrong with it, because they didnt have any idea, they didnt even charge me. They reset the ignition timing because it was 1 or 2 degrees off...

There is no back fire, just a lot of back flash on decel...like it is running waaay rich or something. Cap, HEP, plugs, wires, coil are all barely used.....

Ive replaced the fuel pressure regulator, Ive checked the TPS, Ive checked the O2 sensor, vacuum is good......wait a minute, I just made a small connection maybe?

Tell me if I am way off.... all this started happening on the first cold day of the year. When I turned my heater on for the second time that day.....after that, the car started running like crap.....isnt the dial for the heater vacuum operated? I know that since then I have kept my heater pretty much always in the hot position because when I turn it back to cold it is an SOB to get it back to hot again, almost like the vacuum isnt switching it or something, most of the time it doesnt turn on until I decel, then the heater will flip....could maybe the vacuum to the back of the climate control unit may be causing this trouble? Would it make that big of a difference if at all?

If I posted a video of what it was doing, would that help?

Yes, the mode doors are vacuum operated.
You said this started in colder weather and you think it is rich.
Your MAP sensor is mounted on the logic module, Chrysler had problems with moisture freezing in the vacuum line from underhood to the MAP.
Tee a vacuum gauge in the MAP line and be sure you have manifold vacuum at idle, watch the gauge while driving, if vacuum drops off(it will change with throttle position, decrease on accelaration, increase on decel, + pressure in boost) the controller see's this as additional air and increases injector pulse width.

I will have to check that this weekend, I am in the middle of Airman Leadership school and it takes up all my time from 5a.m. to midnight...it sucks....but get this

Today when I was leaving school, my car randomly started running almost completely normal, it didnt try to stall once, rpm's dropped down to about 650-700 a couple of time, but that was about it and as long as I was accelerating or cruising above 2k rpm it drove just like it did before I started having this problem back in september when it was at its worse... and the backflashing didnt even start until it was down to 2k rpom on decel, but that is to be expected when you run open dp I would think...the temperature was about 50 degrees, it seems to run better when it is cold....could that be because the cold air is leaning out the mixture?

just something that worked for me, I had a similar issue with it feeling like it was 'bucking' on decel, did not feel smooth-I replaced the coil with a new one (MSD) and, viola', gone...cheap fix if that's it.

Yea I checked that, I had put on an MSD coil maybe 1 week before it started giving me trouble, so I put the accel coil back on to check that, but the problem remained...

The problem is worse when it is hot out, so I am thinking that somehting is just flooding it out and the cold air helps lean the car out which makes it run a little better

Man, I wish I had had more time to figure out what the heck is going on....Im thinking about just letting it run like crap until I swap in the new build....That should fix the problem...lol

Hrmm, I should check that... a clogged injector might make sense.
