I traded my t/a minus the motor and trans for a 1988 dodge daytona shelby z and the car is in very good condition runs and all it needs is driver door pins, intercooler line and cd player!
The car has 260,000 miles but the motor was rebuilt about 1,000 miles ago and recieved a turbonetics t3/4 hybrid turbo, new bov, exhaust and intake.
The guy that had it befor me bought it new(he paid $10,540.89) and has been the only owner and did the custom intercooler and lines himself. He must have been slow in the head or something becuase he had glue and liquid nail holding the intercooler lines together so i removed all of it and replaced it all with mandrel bent tubing but when i was running the car the BOV failed to let out the boost and It blew off and put holes in the inter cooler lines.I am running between 25 and 30 pounds of boost(the car should put out 350 hp at most). He has an aftermarket radiator the covers the front of the car so you have to go in front off the motor to the passenger side and go threw holes he cut in the front off the car next to the head light. The trans is an auto- matic and I wish it was the manual but hey.the transmission works but i thnk it could be faster becuase it is holding the motor back is there any transmission upgrades out?
Does ant body have pictures of how they set up the inter cooler lines(my intercooler is in front of the radiator bolted the the front end support behind the body kit he put on).
I am a automotive trained tech for chevy and ford and have never messed with turbo cars but I now how turbos work.
Thanks,
