This is on my omni and they are by the passenger firewall. The both are grounds but I'm not sure what that are grounding and where do they go.

The braided line goes to the back of the plenum and the single black ground wire runs down by the A/C lines.
Just replaced both of my braided ground straps less than an hour ago.

The braided ground strap is extemly important, the controller uses this as a major ground.
Yours may go on the fuel rail, mine is on the corner of the plenum, there should be a threaded hole.
There is probably another braided ground strap on the R/S engine mount to body.
The other wire is so things do not ground thru the A/C system and ground thru the body.
Gonna go out in the dark and take a pic for you.
Will have it posted within a 1/2 hour.

Thanks for the pictures. I found the hole on the back of the intake and bolted the braided ground to it. I can't tell in the pics where the other ground goes though.

On my vehicle both wires are bolted to the firewall and from there the single black wire ran to the A/C and the braided ground runs to the plenum.
If you look at the pics where my braided ground strap runs on the firewall it is by the map sensor/baro solenoid and the screw is under the weatherstrip.
Be sure that all rust/corrosion/dirt is removed before bolting to the firewall.
I used emory cloth to clean all ground mounting areas.
Faulty grounds will/may create all types of driveabilty/electrical issues so be sure they are clean/tight.
Incase you are interested "Dorman/Help" makes the braided ground straps, $5.00.
The part # is 60213.
I had to go to Advance and Autozone, needed 2 and they each had 1.
