I heard there were rubbing problems with 18's , but I know a couple people have done this and they like it, I personally love the look of a full wheel well, it just seems to finish off the look of a well rounded vehicle.

The RIM is the part of the WHEEL that the bead of the tire seats on.

Your old bicycle has a hub, spokes and a seprate RIM that holds the tire.

Your IROC has one piece WHEELS.

I do like the new WHEELS you picked out.

( sorry, pet peeve of mine... )

Rant over.....

I work at the largest wheel manufacturing plant in the world and would love to enlighten you on wheels/rims and their components, but won't. I will say this you are only partially right. It depends on the type of manufacture as to what part of a wheel is called what. ( sorry, pet peeve of mine... ) "thumbs up
