'87 Shadow ES turbo I...new cap, plugs, wires, coil, pick up, etc. Timing is dead on. Fuel pressure is 51# at idle. When you accelerate hard in the gears it wants to stutter very bad. Mechanic has hooked it up to the osciliscope and gets eratic wave patterns. Everyone is stumped! Please help. Thanks in advance.

The spark plugs are brand new. The compression is from 85-92 and should only be 100. What particular am I looking for on the spark plugs (wet, burnt, etc?). Thanks guys for your help. My mechanic is also calling a "tech line" today.

CSX#10...maybe I should have bought your CSX!

Your compression should be closer to 125-140 psi. Check for loose grounds. When did it start happening. Need more details.

the reason i ask is because when my car did that not too long ago i remembered that i have TII injectors in there. so i checked the plugs and they were BLACK! so i put some stockers back in and it went away "thumbs up

that might not be your problem but i thought i'de add my 2 cents. you also might wanna check the FP while your driving too

I just bought the car as a beater...so it has done it since I purchased it. My mechanic said that the spark plugs are dry. I thought he looked up the compression and he said that it should be 100...is 125 correct? I do know that the cam is making some noise...they took the valve cover off and there are some scratches on the lobes. If compression is supposed to be 125 would a head gasket cause this? Thanks again.
