Okay, don,t laugh !
I have a 89' Shadow 2.5 turbo car, let mt daughter borrowit (Bad)
She ran it out of oil & water , ie: engine toast .
I decided to install a non turbo engine,2,2L , I changed all the required items to do the changeover, complete wiring harness with SMEC/logic module and all related sensors from a wrecked
88' shadow.
Changed the exhaust, fuel pump, everything required....
Had terrible rough idle on start up?
Changed SMEC/Logig Modules, sensors everything , no change.
Came to the conclusion it was the EGR valve, bolts were stripped by some rookie so i had to remove the head to remove the EGR valve, did that , discovered cracks between the cylinder head chambers,
Purchased a rebuilt head and re-installed, discovered that the EGR tube was plugged, cleaned it out and replaced the rerquired gaskets .
On start up had the same problem (GRRR) .
Decided to change the TBI , still no change (GRRR)
I have checked the codes about three thousand times , no fault reading ?????
Can anyone help me out here???????
PS: this is 1 0f 4 Shadows that i have problems with ,
I will get onto them next .......

Wow FastEddy, or is that Fast Franky ....nice story dude:big grin: .....it only took you a couple of years to get here. Have you still got the 2.5 motor? All you said was that you had some parts lying around.
I hope someone helps you out with the problem. See ya.

Going to re - check , I will let you know if it makes a difference ,
