First-off : There is no such thing as an "ignition module" in a late model Chrysler. The ignition and fuel injection are in 1 box in the engine compartment (the SBEC for your '90). I don't know what the box on the steering column is, but it's not the ignition. It's probably the airbag controller or something.
To me, it sounds like your body computer went south. The BC controls all of the interior functions and controls: dash/guages, door locks, turn signal and door lock switches and the ignition switch. It communicates with the engine controller (the SBEC). Since you had many of those items go bad before the car stopped, it's got to be the BC. The bad tach/speedo, the engine running on after the key is pulled (and now not running at all); are all symptoms of a bad BC. The no-response to the ignition key could also be the ASD (auto-shut-down relay), but the BC turns on the ASD in the first place, and since you had so many problems before, I'd say it's the BC.
The BC on the '90 Daytona is under the passengers front kick panel. It's easy to get at and replace. They've been known to go bad pretty consistently. My '91 had to have it replaced. My door locks would open and close on impulse, and the tach/speedo would stop and start without ryhme or reason. It should cost less than $50 to get a used one, or you can get raped by a Chrysler dealer for $200+.
