I just picked up a boost gauge from a turbo pacifica at my junk yard today. I wanted to know if there was anyway to test it to make sure it was working good. I also think I kinda messed it up (I always have to take things apart..), the needle was off so I wanted to make sure it wasnt stuck or anything, took the cover off and moved the needle with my finger and heard like a click and then it wasn't springy any more, so I took it apart and see the gear inside, and that it was just off so I got it back on the gear but am not sure it would work correctly or not. Thanks in advance.

hook a hose up to it, and blow...lol, if it reads more that 5psi, then its off, because you would have to be realy realy kick ass to produce well over 5lbs with your mouth.

hmmm... interesting, maybe I'll try that tomorow. I need to find some sort of regulator to hook up to a pump maybe so I can find out exactly how much it should read. Thanks though. It's the thought that counts .

Go off a nipple off the intake or throttle body... a sorta easy way to tell if its accurate or not is to hook it up and drive a short distance with a turbo outlet hose disconnected (any intercooler hose popped off).. when you floor it the boost gauge should read 0 dead on if its still decently accurate.
