Well I just got the lancer shelby running good no smoke. Well when I first start it it sounds like a rist pin knocking. When I put the clutch in it goes away. also when I'm driving for about 20min I start to smell a very faint smell of clutch burning. Does this smell and noise go together. When I redid the rings I only did the rod bearings ( I did measure clearance). I didn't pull the crank. No knocking before. Could this be a result of the trans no being lined up correctly with the clutch? But would the trans even bolt up if the trans and clutch an;t lined up? Car pulls strong and all but theres just this noise when idleing in nutral.

I'f anyone needs more info let me know. Your help will be appriciated!!!

Thanks
