I have loosened the mounts and the engine is now as far to the drivers side as possible, the slots are all the way to one side on the front mount so it wont move over anymore.. and yet i still cannot get the passenger side axle in! Ive tried 4 different axles now, and if i can get them in both the tranny and the hub i cannot push the hub back far enough to get it onto the control arm!.. it seems as if the axle is too long and not letting the hub be pushed back enough...

any idea what the problem is ???

ive been working on this practically non stop since monday morning and its becoming quite annoying.. ONE axle shouldnt take this long !

If i cant get it tonight i will only have past 9pm for the next 3 days, and be driving a stupid mercury sable to work!! HELP ME!! lol

you pulled the ball joint off right? not the top of the hub where it connects to the strut? if you pull it off at the ball joint it will swing far enough, i should know.... ive gone thru 4axles in the past month in a half or so haha

Yah it was pulled off there, but the axle was too long and was jamming before the hub could push back far enough to get back on the ball joint...

Trip #5 to autozone yielded an axle that acutally fit. Same exact axle ive been exchanging over the last days, 8241. Ridiculous i tell ya... man my bank account is way messed up now while waiting for 4 axle returns to post and help with the overdrafts from all the axle purchases...
