85 Stock Shelby Charger, the fan doesn't kick on when getting warm. I found out the fan switch has been replaced, but still won't kick on. The fan does work though. I did find that if I unplug the temperature switch??? I think that's what it is, the connector going into the thermostat housing that the fan will come on automatically. Does this mean I need a new temp sensor or whatever it is? I don't have a manual. Is it ok for me to leave it unplugged and let the fan run all the time?

If you can unplug the temp switch and the fan comes on the temp switch is bad. Had the same problem with my shadow.

So is it bad then to leave it unplugged until I replace the switch?

You can leave it unplugged but the check engine light will come on and the car probaly wont run to good since the computer thinks the car is running very cold. Sould have a very rich condition.

Ok, thank-you. Guess I'll be going to Autozone and getting a temp switch then. Thanks again.
