I am curiouse about the trouble that "silverblue85" had with his HEP in the distributor. Since the 87's have the larger distributor, did they also have this same problem? or was it only in the smaller distributor HEP's ?

thanks

all of them.

If you replace the HEP, MAKE SURE there is no contact between the HEP and the shutter. I destroyed a brand new HEP this way. Had to shim the HEP up a bit 'cause something wasn't right in the distributer. Should have replaced the dizzy, but sometimes ya just can't afford to do it right!!
