Maybe he's just getting T1 and T2 and T3 and T4 all mixed up.
A suckthrough T1 fuel rail only works on a suckthrough T1.
A 2 piece T2 (86 GLHS, 87 T2 cars) fuel rail works on a 2 piece and might bolt to a T3
DOHC Lotus intake but maybe the bungs, and for sure the
FPR and feed lines are on the wrong side (I assume the T3 just from pics I've seen). But keep it with the 8v 86-87 T2 intake as it's easier.
All the 88-89 8v turbo cars use the same fuel rail.
in 1990 they got rid of the dampner on the end because they went to sequential injection for the 8v cars. So fuel rails for the 1990+ 8v cars ar the same
Then there's the
DOHC Lotus T3 rail that has to be used with the lotus intake but might bolt up to the 2 piece but then the
FPR, and feed lines and maybe the bungs would be in the wrong place.
Then there's the Ultra Rare 16v Maserati fuel rail. Now an 88-89 8v fuel rail WILL work on these, but the
FPR is moved but still seems to fit between the vac bungs just fine. I know this as I've tried it.
And that's the breakdown on the fuel rails.
