I just got my Shelby Charger running. New tank, straps, fuel filter and fuel sending unit. Now I'm driving today and frist gear, second gear and reverse all go out at the same time. Please tell that does nopt mean I need a new transmission. Could it be the shifter linkage or something else. Becuase when I go into reverse first or second it is actually third gear

Not familar with the SC shift linkage but even if I cannot really help it may get you some responses.
According to Mitchell there were rod operated and cable operated shifters...
Which do you have?

sounds like you have an issue with the rod linkage. most likely bad bushings and the black insert that is on the main shift shaft from the shifter( they fail alot)

sounds like your shifter linkage is just out of adjustment.
