I need to know the easiest way to remove an 2.2L turbo engine from a lebaron. I'm pulling it from a junk yard and he has a backhoe but can't get it close enough to pull it out for me so what is the best way of tackling this and the fastest way because it is getting cold fast. BTW I don't have a cherry picker

drop it out the bottom then stack up some tires to "catch it" and have the back hoe lift up the chassis.

I will try that but he said he cant get the back hoe near the car, that there is stuff in the way which I really dont't see anything stopping him from getting the back hoe near the car. I will be out there next week to get it. Is there anything that I would need from the lebaron as I'm going to do a 1983 dodge omni n/a to turbo swap

BTW, a 4x4 and a ratched strap and you can lower the engine and trans to the floor nicely. Sounds scary but your lowering the engine not all too different than repeling down a mountain... One click at a time until it starts sliding and let it down nicely. $20 lol. With 2 straps and changing them as you go you can lift it back up too lol.

I get a deep 32mm impact socket for it and it needs about 250 ft lbs to tighten it right. Go buy a harbor freight POS electric 1/2" impact lol.

RIP to another turbo Dodge

I took the cylinder head off and there was white stuff in every cylinder and also I couldn't see any cross hatching in any of the cylinder walls. It was just way to much work and would cost way to much. It would just be alot easier to go and buy a running turbo dodge. Sad to see the TD end like this.
