normally a really built buggy has stock log turbo T1 power lol, big boost really isn't needed. Ground everything to the roll cage and don't be shy with the grounds.
I'd use a SMEC or SBEC, and run a stock T1 setup with maybe an intercooler. The older log with be fine but the later computers are a single box and they have the goo in them to deal with shock better. A custom cal would be nice, but you'll want the chip soldered on. The computer is grounded through the wiring, so build a soft base for the computer like rubber radiator bushings to screw it down.
