87ShelbyZ91 is keeping the peace
Hey I am sure someone has asked this question before, but here goes. I have an 87 Shelby turbo Z that is missing the pcm. I found a 87 New Yorker with the same 2.2L turbo motor. my question is this, will the pcm from the new yorker work in the Shelby Z and if so will it need to be reflashed? any insight would be appreciated. thanks

Computer under hood or computer in passenger side?

If it is under hood, it is a PM (Power Module) they are the same from 85-87 and can be interchanged without doing anything.

If it is in the passenger side, it is a LM (Logic Module) It must be re-calibrate to 87 TII spec LM, which means the LM need to be socketed first, then mount a burn chip onto it.
