1985 Shelby Charger Issues

So I have a 1985 Shelby Charger having some strange problems. I'm guessing they are electrical considering what it is doing. So here are the basics. When it is jumped by my toyota with cables still connected car runs fine. Then with being disconnected car dies after very short period of time. Power Loss starts blinking and engine goes at extremely low idle and dies. Have replaced so far the battery, alternator and a new computer. Any ideas? I got the car at a very very cheap price cause guy needed money really bad and I really like these cars. Please help.

based on the info you have given,
I would suggest that you're alternator isn't charging the battery.

let's confirm:

get a voltmeter,
hook up toyota (engine running) to SC, start SC,
read/record the voltage ...

with SC running, remove the battery jumper cables (shut off toyota),
record voltage, watch it..
is it dropping ?

I will give it a try. Don't have time right now have to get to work but will test.

Yes voltage is dropping and now car starts but isn't staying idle. I can hold gas down and it keeps reving to higher rpms and then drops continuosly up and down. But to first question yes it is. Checked around lines running from battery and they look in good shape. Somebody told me about splicing before with an external voltage regulator but dunno.

ok what is voltage with SC running but jumper cables not hooked up ?

if it's not at least 13 then yur not charging
