oil all overHELP!

Been driving my 1988 Daytona Shelby 2.2 Turbo round trip to and from work 60 miles a day, when all of a sudden I lose power and have oil all over under the hood. Looks like most came from cap on valve cover. No blown lines to or from turbo or anywhere else. Stuck pcv or what?

cam plug on the end of the cylinder head coulda popped out.

Did you hear a bang? Is the dipstick tube blown out.... if you are having a pcv issue either get a catch can or just vent thru an open hose down

Cap on valve cover...Oil fill cap???

yes loss of power, oil appeared to mostly come out of valve cover oil fill cap. After I let it sit for about 15 minutes it idled fine again.

Is the problem still present?

I have never seen a PCV system cause a problem like you describe so suddenly and so severe but...
In 36 years I have seen stranger things.
Anything that would/could cause excessive crankcase pressure could have caused your issue.
Verify all of your basics are ok (PCV/Breather System, Oil Pressure, Engine Sealing, etc)

Another thought although I have never seen it create an oil issue is that something in the exhaust collapsed causing excessive backpressure which would explain the loss of power.
Ford used to use a double walled front pipe and the inner wall would collapse causing exhaust backpressure problems that could not be seen.

any codes?, maybe more than one problem here
