Omnipresent is keeping the peace
can anyone give me some advice, im having trouble getting the pressure line off the gear box. i can get a wrench on it, but i have almost no room to move it one way or another.

woodrow Z is keeping the peace
Not too familiar with the Omni engine bay. But I know it's tight. Have you been trying to get it from the top or bottom? I'd suggest the bottom. And getting your hand on a set of line wrenches, or some crows feet style. They're life savers in tight spots.

ive beeen trying to get at it from underneath. cant even see it from the top of the engine bay. it all quite crammed in there

YaY! yup P/S pump is a Tight fit in the L-body engine bay...

as is most everything else lol..

hardest job I remember was R&R'ing the starter on 85 GLHt,
where its tucked up under the turbo .. argh .. all oily ..

Ahother trick is to remove the FRONT subframe bolts and then losten the rears about half way off, but not enough that the steering shaft comes apart, that makes it a bit harder to put it back like it was. Its a good time saver for sure...if you dont have the tools mentioned above!

Ehh not much harder than a bigger car. It's easier to pull the head on all of them. If the turbo has enough miles to be bad it's probably time for a headgasket anyway.
