hey whats up. I have an 87 GLHS project car that I am working on. Got a question real quick. I put a roller cam in and put it back into time a couple days ago. I charged the battery and then when I go to start it the car does two or three rotations then stops (like sieze (sp?)) then i give the battery another 30 seconds or so and I try it again. It spins faster after I give it a longer charge but still goes 5 or 6 rotations then stops. I did this one more time, waiting about 20 then 30 then about a minutes in between turning the key. The final time it starts up and sits at about 1k rpm and if i give it a little throttle it MIGHT got to 1500 but no further. Feels like there is no power at all. Is the ecu getting enough power from the battery although the battery is hooked to the jumper box? Should I look into getting a new starter? mine is getting tested today? do I need to do something else. Please help!!!!!

Check to be sure the timing is right, sounds like your timing belt might be off.

I say your pulley is fine. Up to 88, they used the square tooth, and 89+ common blocks uses the round tooth pulley. I would just retime the engine, and see if it's out any.
