cleaning the waste gate

anyone have an idea how to clean the waste gate on an 88 2.2 lebaron convertible? someone said that might be the prob w/my car being sluggish.

Spray the shaft where the linkage connects through the housing to the door with PB Blaster (or equivelant). Work back and forth. Repeat as necessary. Done.

thank you. will try in the am and let you know how it went. also are you supposed to be able to move the waste gate shaft by hand. mine does not move.

you should be able to move it very easily if you disconnect the thingy that has the vacume line going to it from the waste gate shaft.

Clear as mud?
