Lots to think about here. If they were both the same amp and appeared to be in the same condition I would take the Denso. I have seen them last forever. The problem here is they are both reman units. The reman industry sucks. They take alternators and starters that lasted 10 years and 100,000 miles and rebuild them to break in 2 years or 10,000 miles. I just had a Chevy at work that the 1 year old (reman) alternator went bad Napa sent me 3 remans that week one of them made it out the door (had to tow it in the next morning) They were telling me I missed something. I know I didn't. I beat myself up with those thoughts myself before they said it. Got a reman from GM its been on it now for 2 months so far.
Whats wrong with the Denso on the car? If it works fine I would stay with the old one as long as possible. If its having issues check the dealer prices on a reman (theres should have OEM parts) That Chevy alt from the dealer was 20 bucks more then Napa.
