How much boost is the stock turbo fuel pump good for? Also, I've heard the in-tank walbro 255's are good for all the boost I'd ever want to run, but are the in line walbro 255's as good? My brother wants to run one of the in-line's in his rampage, just wondering how much it's good for.

stock turbo fuel pump is good for no more than 15 psi, according to most people here. I wouldn't push it and risk leaning out.

It is 14.7 to be exact I believe. Anyhow, if you want to go past that you will want to get the Whalbro pump and bigger injectors at the least. As far as I know there should be no flow differences between the in-line and the in-tank pumps.

I am looking for gray interior trim for a J-body (1987-1989) LeBaron coupe hardtop. If you have anything please PM me before throwing it out. I am also selling tan trim if you're interested.

Let's see ... that's 255 litres an hour or 67 US gallons. That amount of fuel will support over 600HP .... hmm, how much boost is that?

If the stocker can support 260-270HP then the flow works out to about 102 lph or 27 gallons.

above is good reference data but actually if you are serious about making sure your not running out of fuel you should not just depend on a high volume pump and larger injectors, you really have to measure the resultant air/fuel ratio because there are so many factors that effect it. remember also that too much fuel is not good either.

The stock pump is a 160 or 170 LPH, can't remember. You can make it flow by pinching off the return line, I did that for one summer, got 18psi out of it stock injectors and 3 cold starts. If your considering turning up the boost, just get the 255, there not much more than a stock one and the stocker is probably on its way out anyway. Intank is easier as you just drop the tank, a few minor mods on some cars/vans and away you go.

Does anyone know the easiest way to make sure that the Whalbro pump you just bought is a 255lph pump?

If memory serves, there should be a part number on the housing.

Those stock FP flow rates can't be right fellas ... stock pump wouldn't support the 300HP S60 package which requires 115+lph.

I ran 16psi on the stock pump and lines and filter. Motor's still running. I now have a 255 and running 18-20psi.

It doesn't, you MUST buy the S60 inline 60 gallon/hr pump or buy the intank Walbro,
