I was just thinking that since the cams are pretty easy to swap out, that I should break in my built 3.0 with the stock cams. Im not sure how its gonna run with the new cams and I would like no problems when I seat the rings.

the stockers are 182 adv ~135 @ .050" and 350" total lift
new cams are 278 adv 216 @ .050" and .450" total lift.

Im guessing it wouldnt hurt anything to run the stock cams for seating the rings and the first couple hundred miles. I dont want to have to deal with drivability problems while also worring about the rings.

that is just plain goofy!!!!! just build the engine as you intend to use it. If I was to follow your strange idea, I would have wasted an awful lot of time. do you think Roush engine builders do that? hell NO

Haha, Im sorry,

My n/a 3.0 is faster then the roush Mustang GT that ran at the track 2 weeks ago.

I know you know A LOT about building motors but your response is absolutely not helpful since you are ignorant of 2 things,

#1 Total Seal said no boost on my rings when I seat them, beat on them sure, but no boost. I could go ahead and dump boost into it and get a pos that burns out like simon.

#2 My cams are bigger then RPW (australia) stage 5 cams (their largest/race only) and I have no idea what the car will run like on stock computer. I have a standalone but That would be even worse since it would have no base maps.

I am using a $300 Set of Total seal rings (designed for import turbo drag cars blah blah) which are NOTHING like your or my stock rings and I was told absolutly NO boost when seating them. Most cars that use rings like these probably make no boost in the first 5000-6000 rpms because of their huge turbo so they can get away with things I can not.
