I have a 1989 Omni N/A. It's bored .030 over and has a 3 angle valve job. I recently put on a header and now I'm getting nothing but carbon fouling up my plugs and my muffler is extremly black. My wires are good, my coil is only 2 years old but I was wondering if anyone had an idea what cam would help this problem or if it is even a cam issue. Before I put the header on the plugs did get fouled a bit but not as fast or as much as they do now.

how about a bad vacuum to the MAP sensor, or maybe an EGR related problem since the line from the exhaust is no longer functioning. The Cam does NOT go bad on these roller heads (unless you break one-totally different problem)

bring the car to my shop before monday the 12th and I can fix you up. just south of Stevens point.
