hope to see you finish that project. probably will be fun to drive after its finished. At first i thought you put in the 24v DOHC V6, i'd love to see someone finish one of those projects.

im not sure what to expect for 1/4 mile time, but with a good tune, the headers, CAI, the 3G guys think i should easily break 200+WHP. with a 3.77FD A543, who knows what that will yield lol. any ideas?

200whp could run any thing from a mid/high 14 to a 14 flat depending on how much your car weighs. Maybe a little faster.

I look forward to seeing this some night down at the berlin turnpike.

I had always thought about swapping in a 2.5V6 when I was into 3.0s. But I didn't the space to do the swap. Nor did I have a clue on how to make a clutch work with the 2.5V6.

i donno if i will yet. i might be able to fit the turbo but at 9:1 CR, 8PSI or so is about the highest "safe" boost level on this engine barring different pistons. as we all know, detonation MURDERS engines lol

i donno when ill be at the pike, im at school in NY lol. as for the clutch, i bolted the old flywheel to the new motor, used my old tranny and retained the stock cable clutch system. bolt pattern of crank->flywheel is the same, IIRC even on the MMC 2.5/3.5 V6

it would indeed. the SDS supercharger system available for this motor puts down around 100WHP gain on ~8PSI i believe (RIPPMODS.com) also tearstone.com does have a turbo kit...dont know the specs on that though.

a 300WHP v6 duster would bo a nice sleeper

i have a friend here at school that should be able to fix the body panels and possibry give it a paint job

"Those cars usaully run mid 14's stock with that engine (and 5speed). But what the hell is a Cali Spec engine"

cali spec had different headers, 2 pre-cats and one main cat, 4 o2 sensors, fed spec had better headers, one cat and 2 o2 sensors.

I can't beleive that. My Shadow man handles stock Eclipse GTs. With 210crank horsepower and 5spd, I can see 14.9 to real low 15s.

later

God forbid you ever have to dig through that wiring harness for something.

i kept as much of the colored wiring as possible, so IF i have to dig through it, i still have color references

as for 1/4 ETs, with ~220whp/tq in a 2300lb car...*shrugs* i wont know until i go to the strip
