With regular unleaded around $3.00 per gal here in NH, I was just wondering how other people do with their MPG.
My Voyager(2.5T 3spd auto) gets 24-26(city/highway mix) mpg - I'm VERY happy with that .
Most Minivans with 6cyl get 18.
How bout you? I'm wondering how the 2.2/2.5 CARS do? I think I want to get one soon.
Thanks
Scott

My 90 Daytona VNT gets 20-22 MPG back and forth to work everyday.
But I have been driving somewhat conservative trying to anticapate traffic and lights,I have also been shifting sooner trying to keep the boost levels to the Left of the Gauge,But sometimes circumstances dictate Pegging the Boost all the way to the right.

Thats better then we could get out of the 2.5 TBI van we had, think that did about 25 on the highway at it's best, around 20 around town so figure 22-23 avg. My 3.0 van I can get 23 avg out of, but that's with 18mpgish round town and 27ish on the highway. (35 hwy drafting semis )

I had a 520/555 in my charger, and driving like an idiot, racing everyone i could and just being stupid off the lights I still got 27mpg. I always told myself I'd try to take it easy for one full tank just to see what kind of mileage I could really get, but there were just so many hondas and srt4s and wrxs out there!!! The taller final drive really helps, especially in lots of 5th gear driving.

tryingbe 25/41 is awesome!!!!!!!
18/20 is probably about the norm for an Auto Trans, these cars weight alot for thier size, shipping weight on mine new was 3030lbs.
The Key to Fuel Economy other than Driving Habits is to be sure everything is Mechanically Sound and Running at Peak Efficiency.I am probably a little off because I need Valve Seals, not puffing smoke but #2 Cylinder not at Peak, fouling of plug verifies that.
The biggest thing to check would be the O2 Sensor, a Lazy O2 will drop Fuel Economy by up to 7 MPG without setting a Fault or causing any Driveability Concerns.

25/41??? That's quite a spread. I used to get about 28/34. I'm up to 37 mixed city/highway. Haven't had this setup long enough to get a true city/highway reading.

What's your setup Trying?

The best thing to do is hook up a scan tool and see what the adaptive fuel trim is at. If it likes to run at +10 or so a lot, and the engine is stock, something is wrong--ignition timing, valve timing. If it is at zero, tire pressure, brake drag, driving habits, etc are big factors.
Seriously, 18/20 mpg in a Daytona is less than optimal for sure.

'92 Chrysler GTC convertible 2.5 T-1/5spd 29.5 mpg right now. All stock.

'92 Daytona ES 2.5 Turbo / 5spd 28.x mpg. Forged pistons, extensively ported head, big valves, underdrive pulley, S60 turbo, no balance shafts, stock ECU, lots of other stuff. I've played with cam timing and that doesn't seem to make much mpg difference with this '88 TBI camshaft. I'd like to try the '89+ 2.5 turbo cam which has less duration, and should net better mpg than what I'm already getting. I drive a lot, so I get plenty of opportunity to try different driving styles to achieve max mpg. The only thing that seems to work is to do your best to keep the engine in as much vacuum as possible. Otherwise, it doesn't matter how I drive--I get the same mpg.

Those minivan MPG figures I'd consider to be absolutely phenomenal. A friend of mine migrates to texas, and got something like 28 mpg with their '02 Chrysler minivan on the way there. Thats awesome. But realize that it has much more efficient engine management under the hood. More efficient engine in general.

My 2.7l 2nd Gen LH cars would get 27-28 mpg all the time. That was amazing mileage for that size of a car. my '97 Intrepid with the old school 3.5 sucked gas at like 23 mpg. Yikes. Same size car, far less efficient. Amazing.
