Had my first real race in the van since the new motor was put in. I shifted at 6000rpm (redline) but it still felt like it was pulling... though I don't dare shift higher till I know it's ok!

So obviously not on a daily basis but how high is it safe to spin this motors?

Fuel cut is at 6250, I believe, so anything under that.

5spd? With the right parts that's not bad. Take it to the track and see what shift points get you the best ET/MPH. Mine liked 5700 and now likes 6k. Most people say to shift them at 5200. With a 1 piece intake I could see that. Anyway each motor is different in how it's setup. The track is the best way to get a shift point dialed in.
