2.5L needs more power, HELP!!

ok i was wondering if i could put the 2.4 DOHC head (srt-4 head) on a 2.5L motor, i dont know if it makes a difference but it is a 2.5L 1997 Jeep. or even better i just want to make more power, so any suggestions please.

i have been reading, for about 2-3 days, but i have no clue if the 2.5 i hear you guys talk about is different than mine, i cant seem to find anything on my motor.

2.5 jeep = old school pushrod derived from the ancient AMC 232/258 I-6

"our" 2.2 & 2.5 are SOHC which debuted in 1982 (and are somewhat related to the ancient ChryCo 198/225 'slant-6')

no parts interchange AMC 2.5 <-> ChryCo 2.5; completely different motor

the Neon 2.0/2.4 are built at the same factory which made the 2.2/2.5 and ChryCo saved money by keeping the same bore spacing ; hence the newer heads WILL bolt on to the 2.2/2.5 (with some mods)

but not compatible with the 2.5 AMC
